5 time World Karate kickboxing Champion Anthony "Amp" Elmore joined Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism in 1974. Elmore attended NSA home discussion meetings. This video is a scene from Elmore's 1988 movie released under the title of "The Contemporary Gladiator." This movie was released under the video title "Iron Thunder" nationwide in 1990. This Buddhist scene was cut out of the video version of the film. Elmore re-construct a scene in 1978 when we made decision to become the World Heavyweight Kickboxing Champion. Elmore won the PKA or Professional Karate Association World Heavyweight Title on May 29, 1982. The fight was televised on ESPN Cable Television. Elmore departed the NSA/SGI organization in 1991. Elmore later learned the SGI President Daisaku Ikeda had initiated a plan of Centralization in America. Elmore became trouble by the changes in NSA. Elmore wrote a letter to SGI President Ikeda and SGI members in 1991. In 1996 Elmore traveled to Taisekiji Japan. Elmore documented hi! s visit to Japan via a video documentary. In 1998 Elmore traveled to Ghana to learn about the machination of SGI President Ikeda in Ghana. Elmore passed the word regarding the centralization in Buddhism. Elmore met a death ear from Memphis Buddhist. Elmore started the Proud Black Buddhist website to get the word out regarding the SGI's actions in Japan.
